About Us

House of Mantara – Rooted in Faith, Flavor, and Lebanon

House of Mantara is more than a name — it is a tribute to the sacred hill of Saydet el Mantara (Our Lady of Mantara) in Maghdouché, Lebanon. According to Christian tradition, this is where the Virgin Mary waited patiently for her son, Jesus, as he preached in the nearby city of Saida.

Inspired by this powerful image of patience, love, and nurturing, House of Mantara was born as a modern tribute to Lebanese heritage. Just like the Virgin Mary waited and watched over her son, we preserve the essence of our land — its flavors, its rituals, and its warmth — with care and devotion.

Our products are handmade in small batches using local ingredients, reflecting the purity of both tradition and nature. From sun-dried zaatar to aged pickled eggplant, from rose water to grape molasses, each item tells a story of land, memory, and maternal love.

By choosing House of Mantara, you’re tasting more than food — you’re experiencing the soul of Lebanon, rooted in centuries of tradition and watched over by the spirit of Saydet el Mantara.

Our Name, Our Promise

Just as “Mantara” means “lookout” or “place of watchfulness,” we remain committed to watching over the quality, origin, and integrity of our offerings. We produce everything with the same care that a mother watches over her child — with faith, love, and purpose.
